The new series of HBO, titled the house of the dragon is a prequel to the hit show game of thrones, based on the novels of the song of ice and fire series written by George RR martin, the house of the dragon is set roughly around 200 years before the events of the show game of thrones, the house o the dragon takes its inspiration from the book Fire and Blood, which covers the history of the fictional continent of Westeros under the Targaryen family, particularly covering the conflict for the iron throne between the two children of king Viserys the first, which will lead into a grand civil war known as the dance of the dragon. The fans of the series are excited and nervous in equal parts. After the disaster that was the finale of the game of thrones show, fans are worried that the house of the dragon doesnt meet a similar future, they have had their hopes pinned on the show and are very excited about it.

For all those expecting to see your favorite characters like Ned Stark, Jamie Lannister, Tyrion and Obryn Martell, you all are in for a big shock, since the series is a prequel to the game of thrones show, it is set roughly two hundred years before the main show and focuses on a event in the lore of the game of thrones called the dance of the dragons, it is a civil war for the control of the iron throne between two of Dany’s ancestors of the dragon riding dynasty of Targaryens who ruled Westeros for about 280 years before being toppled, in the house of the dragon show, the two children born of different wives to King Viserys the first of his name, Aegon the second and Rhaynera, fight for the iron throne and engage in a bloody civil war for about two years that will be known as the dance of the dragon.
